I started my entrepreneurial journey 17 years ago. A few of the ventures were successful, and a few were not, but I enjoyed the process along the way and never stopped creating. Being a small business owner means that I often don’t have the time or energy to cook for myself and my family. But eating out is expensive! And all of the decently healthy and tasty ready-to-eat meals need freezer or fridge space, so I can’t store too many at once. 

I really wanted to create a line of tasty, nutritious, and shelf-stable instant meals that I would never hesitate to feed my family with. ShanYi was born after 2 years of hard work from my partner and I, a group of dedicated food scientists from our manufacturing partner, and some top chefs in Asia.

Like Elisa, we are both serial entrepreneurs with busy schedules. We wanted a quick and healthy option that didn’t sacrifice flavor, so we went to work. After two years of collaborative development effort with one of the largest global seafood producers, ShanYi was born!  A line of shelf-stable, great-tasting, pan-Asian-focused instant meals with fresh and clean ingredients. We’re proud that each meal contains nothing that you can’t pronounce.
